Omemee Lions welcome Junior Anglers from 10 a.m. till noon on Saturday, to bring their prize live Bass catch to the Omemee Lions Bass Fishing Contest weigh-in at Omemee Ace Hardware.Saturday July 2nd, kids up to age 16, can bring their live Bass to Omemee Ace Hardware to have the size and weight recorded to see if they will win one of three cash prizes, or other goodies. Omemee Lions have donated cash prizes, for the biggest Bass catches of the morning, and there is even an Ontario Family Fishing colouring draw, so all kids have a chance at winning prizes. You do not have to be Picaso to win this colouring contest-it's a draw! Just colour in the picture, complete both parts of the form below the drawing, and send it in to:

About Ontario Family Fishing Week
Ontario Family Fishing (OFFW) events make it easy to try fishing in Ontario waters for the first time, or the first time in a long time. Twice a year, the government of Ontario designates several days during which Canadian residents can fish license-free in any water body where fishing is allowed. This year, July 2-10, 2011 is designated as the summer OFFW license-free fishing days. During all other periods, most Canadian residents between the ages of 18 and 64 years must purchase an OUTDOORS card and a fishing license to legally fish in Ontario.
